Sunday Morning

I've listened to the shouting,
And the closed minded
Arguments
Of people who have abandoned
Free thought,
In favour of dogma
And habituated wall building.
I've listened to their
Mental gymnastics
As they try to justify
A position that
Cannot be justified,
Merely held.
Heavens,
My mind has turned to
Blancmange.

Ezra!!

The chrysanthemum's
Are on fire,
And the icicles are
Driving through my brain!

The Home Guard

I shall never fear,
I shall never weep,
For these brave knights....
Are quite unique!

When

They sang
Us
A rainbow of joy;

Each note
Pure as a pearl.

Happiness
surrounded you,
And
My world shone.

And then....

Nothing.

Only a single tear,
Flooding my desert
With
Infinite sorrow.

Isadora

Immoral yearnings drift
Through my sleep and dreams,
And wicked oracles relive my actions,
Over and over again.

Litanies in flame,
Engulfing terror,
Incinerating minds,
Encapsulating suns.

Such eternal ravages reveal my weakened heart.

Oh my Endora Nephalim,
Desire entertained such desire,
Until dread enemies invaded, laughing.

Our vows exterminated we watched others lie across universes.

But my love was always yours my heart,
Beautiful, exciting....

Why isn't this heaven?

Madness it seems, such over under love.

Yet our universe remains still,
From beneath ruins and over monuments,
Crying and touching.

Isadora,
I saw you in the snowstorm and you swallowed my mind.

Insight

An ancient knowledge
was buried,
In times gone by,
By those afraid of the truths
And the powers that they hold.

But that knowledge still is.

Time cherished and freed,
Now a force out of hiding,
Leading the way
For those that it touches,
And draws out of the darkness
And into the light.

Darkly Darling

I am your Darkly Darling,
Hidden inside all the other selves
I have grown
to protect the real Me.

The Me that peers out at the world
And wonders,

Could I survive?

Only your shining words
Release me,

In the dark,

In the night,

When all the others sleep.

No need then to worry then,
Am I sane?

No tics or habits,
No rages or fugues
Can protect me from you.

You slide beneath their soporifics,
Silky as a dream,
And rescue my racing heart
From the waking death
That is my life.

Stay.

Oh won't you stay?

Don't let them steal me back.

But here they come,
To drag me from my mind.

I fade, I flee;

And leave them with another me
To answer questions
I won't hear.

The real me waits,
Inside,
Until the darkness comes
And I will be
Your Darkly Darling once again.
