Stormy

The night was shattered,
Trees were battered,
Blinding flashes all that mattered.
Rain came down
With heavy fists,
And splashed and bounced
And drenched and hissed.
And louder than the
Gates of hell
The thunder bellowed,
Roared and yelled.
A stormy night,
A rare delight,
Then came the morning,
Clear sunlight.
