It wasn't a reasonable way to go,
But words will be spoken,
And who's to know,
Which way
This ragged wind will blow.
For words,
Once spoken,
Can't retract,
And wounded hearts
Will just react,
To save the moment,
Quick and fast,
But really,
There is no way back,
From this...
Whatever broken minds might wish.

Loose Words

I opened my mouth and a foot fell out.
Again,
 I hadn't looked before I spoke.
If I'd been a car
You would have wrecked me,
Over a cliff perhaps, so you could watch.


Would I have eaten my own words as I fell?

So, I find it hard to write at the moment. Probably got something to do with having my fingers stuck together. Metaphorically speaking. Normal service will be resumed shortly.

No Words

I have no words,

The well is dry,

It's all that I can do to cry.

The words have gone,

Poor empty brain,

I doubt I'll ever smile again.

I am bereft,

I've lost my words,

To try to fight it is absurd.

So back to sleep,

Perchance to dream.

I want my words back please.
